PHOENIX – Arizona’s new employer sanctions law to penalize businesses which knowingly hire illegal immigrants needs to be changed to require uniform enforcement across the state, House Speaker Jim Weiers said Thursday.
Uniform enforcement could prove elusive unless the Legislature mandates a standard complaint form in the law for use by all counties, Weiers, R-Phoenix, told business representatives on an advisory committee he appointed to review the law.
