Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie expects to take only a couple of weeks to make up his mind about running for governor in 2010 in the wake of incumbent Republican Gov. Jim Douglas’ decision not to seek a fifth term.
Dubie has asked Susie Hudson, who managed his 2008 campaign, to “structure my decision-making process.” His first meeting with supporters took place Saturday.
“There has been no decision,” Dubie stressed. “I need to invite people to help me make this decision,” he said. “I need to meet with people, discuss with people face-to-face and on the phone, and that is what I will be doing.”
