Ohio LG Fisher Looks at 2010 Run for Senate

Now, will Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner jump in and take Fisher on?  Might be quite an undertaking; After all, Governor Strickland likes Fisher for the job.

Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher took another step yesterday toward becoming an official U.S. Senate candidate in 2010.

The Ohio Democrat has formed a federal exploratory committee that will allow him to investigate “how to become the most effective partner with Gov. (Ted) Strickland and Sen. (Sherrod) Brown (D-Ohio) in turning around Ohio’s economy,” said a spokesman for the exploratory committee.

Fisher has no time frame for launching a formal Senate bid.
