IN: Sidewalk For Votes Case Trial Set for 1/09

This case has been an issue in the campaign between Republican A.G. candidate Greg Zoeller and his Democrat opponent Linda Pence.  The Post Tribune picks up the story.

Pence said she has not taken a detailed look at the case. She and attorneys from her firm represented Rieth-Riley, a construction firm that was named in the civil lawsuit and settled with the state. Rieth-Riley is a “good, quality company that did nothing wrong,” Pence said.

“I haven’t been invited to see all the evidence (in the rest of the case)” she said. “It’s a nine-year-old case and it should have gone to trial a long time ago. That’s all I can say.”
