This fiasco is right out of some 3rd world banana republic, and Tennessee Democrats should be flat out embarrassed.  There is really this win at all cost mentality that pervades all state level Democrats this year.  Not just in Tennessee, but in Nevada and other states as well.  From the Leaf Chronicle:

Incumbent state Sen. Rosalind Kurita said Thursday that she has been approached by several groups interested in pursuing a federal lawsuit to help her win back her nomination, but she’s still undecided about a legal challenge.

Kurita spoke to reporters a day after a special panel of Democrats voted to name Clarksville attorney Tim Barnes as the party’s nominee in state Senate District 22.

“I’m not going to make any quick decisions,” Kurita said of a possible challenge. “All options are open.”

There is no Republican running in the general election, and Kurita has also begun raising money for a write-in campaign she kicked off Sept. 18.

When reporters asked Kurita to name the groups interested in the legal challenge — particularly whether any are Republican affiliated — she refused.
