Slooooow news day in Nebraska?
The Nebraska Democratic Party has requested public records from the governor and attorney general related to the two Republicans’ campaigning for presidential candidates.Gov. Dave Heineman endorsed Mitt Romney in December and attended two campaign events in Iowa, and Attorney General Jon Bruning endorsed Mike Huckabee in January.
Democrats say they want to ensure taxpayers aren’t picking up the tab for campaign activities.
Romney has since dropped out of the race. Huckabee is still running, but can’t win the delegates needed to secure the nomination.
