HARTFORD — State lawmakers, smarting from the American Lung Association’s “F” grade for tobacco use prevention, pledged yesterday to do better, starting with Connecticut’s smoking cessation hotline.
Democratic leaders joined Attorney General Richard Blumenthal in asking Gov. M. Jodi Rell to find $2 million to replenish supplies of free nicotine patches and gum offered callers to the Connecticut Quitline.
