TN: GOP State Rep. Says State Has Acted Where Feds Have Not

Props to Tennessee Republican State Representative Glen Casada for having a better grasp of the illegal immigration issue than probably every single state and local Democrat across the country. In this instance, Republican state and local leaders, the first time was Colorado, demonstrate an understanding and a willingness to tackle the problem of illegal immigration, and not just punt it away like so many Democrats are doing – hello – George Barker are you listening? This is the 2nd time we’ve been able to draw this great distinction between Republicans and Democrats in less than a week. Keep it up Democrats, keep it up.

Illegal immigration is not only a federal issue, but is also an issue that state legislatures can and must address before it strains our budget.Since the federal government remains stagnant on the issue of addressing illegal immigration, the Tennessee General Assembly has taken the initiative to address this costly problem.I am pleased to report that meaningful immigration reform legislation did pass the House and Senate this year in a bipartisan fashion.
