Poll – Ohio AG’s Race is a Toss Up

So the Democrat candidate here has run statewide how many times, still a full 74% of voters have no idea who he is?  Great pick.  Maybe he thought he was better known, and that explains the status quo, no need to define himself as a reformer campaign.  In this environment, at worst, this race is a tossup.

Cordray is going to have to spend a lot of his money separating himself from the negative tint on Ohio Democrats as it relates to the AGs office (Marc Dann IS an issue Mr. Redfern), and at the same time responding to whatever hits come his direction from Crites.  Never mind the fact Cordray will have to really over inflate his resume to look like he’s even CLOSE to being in the same class as veteran prosecutor Mike Crites.  From the Plain Dealer Politics Blog:

This is according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday. The Quinnipiac Poll (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) shows Cordray with a 44 percent to 26 percent lead over Crites.
And, the poll shows that Gov. Ted Strickland has a high approval rating at his mid-term — 60 percent to 25 percent compared to 55 percent to 23 percent in a June 4 poll by the independent pollsters.
