OH AG: Marc Dann has resigned

See the Governor’s press conference here.

From WNWO:

COLUMBUS — Facing possible impeachment, Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann has resigned amid the scandal of a sexual harassment investigation in his office and his extramarital affair.

Dann, 46 and a Democrat, led the state on a 10-day odyssey, at first refusing to resign despite demands by Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland and others within his party, a growing number of investigations into conduct at his office, and the filing Tuesday of articles of impeachment against him.

Let the Democrat spin begin about how swiftly they acted…right. This will be damaging come November. That’s the kind of legacy you want in your state and local Democrat leaders. As we wrote here, Ohio Democrats only responded when they realized the rest of Ohio was about to find out what they’ve known all along. Pretty par for the course for Ohio Democrats.

Dont worry the Dems will smooth it out they are so much better at brushing things under the rug,Not like us Republicans who eat our own,After all the support that we (with limited resources )gaveto the Republican party, they had it made and they p—-d it away all they ever thought about was there own pocket book and re- election If they had stood by Republican principles and stood by our President and stayed United we would have weathered the storm, but no they sucked up to the Dems who laughed all their way to the restrooms,Look at the Senators and Representatives who voted against the party

Good Riddance Dann! It’s unfathomable to me that this guy got in in the first place. We need to support the next guy. Hopefully a pro-bizness republican.

As a Republican I am becoming rather impatient with the actions of the Republican Party. We had a backbone at one time, and our yes was a yes, and our no was a no! How long are we going to continue to act in such a way, that many Republicans are losing respect for our party.
John McCain has a lot of amunition to come up against Obama and Clinton. He can still be a “nice” guy, but stand up to the Demos in a very positive way. We MUST win the White House in November of 2008, and we can if we stand up, and in the Name of God, and show that we STILL have a backbone.
