Something is seriously afoot in the VA state senate right now. Majority Democrats have called for back to back recesses in the last two hours. UPDATE: National Review Online has wind of the rumors. Points to Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia Jeff Frederick’s Twitter – “Apparently one dem is either switching or leaving the dem caucus. Negotiations for power sharing underway.”
UPDATE DEUX: Virginia Virtucon tells us that the deal was in the works for 2 weeks, and fell apart in the closing minutes.
Frederick’s Twitter post sunk the deal by revealing it too early.
