Another high ranking Democrat throws the highest ranking PA House Democrat leader under the blame game express. From the Daily News:
One of the highest-ranked and longest-serving members of the state House Democratic caucus has called on its leader to retire.
State Rep. David Levdansky, D-Forward Township, said Tuesday that House Majority Leader Bill DeWeese, D-Waynesburg, should “make the ultimate personal sacrifice” and withdraw from his state House re-election bid.
“Bill DeWeese could demonstrate the self-sacrifice, courage and leadership required to restore faith and confidence in the institution of the House of Representatives,” Levdansky said in a statement issued out of his district office in Elizabeth.
Levdansky was DeWeese’s choice on three occasions to serve as Democratic chairman of the House Finance Committee. In the current session of the General Assembly, Levdansky has been that committee’s majority chairman.
