Democrat Attorney General Jim Hood has had a rough couple of days… We thought we’d give you a run down so you too can share his pain

This recent press bonanza all started (or did it?) when Hood slipped from his moral high ground…

Hood expresses his displeasure of campaign donations from ‘big corporations’ but gladly taking $400,000 from the Democrat Attorney General Association (DAGA)…

Not too bad… He can get through this.. Just ride it out…

Oh that whole Dickie Scruggs thing? Well, the FBI is doing a fine job with that investigation. In fact, he’d like to help with future cases in that matter…

Fast forward….one day:

Mr. Democrat Attorney General Jim Hood is holding on to that State Farm Settlement Money; and SNS points out some interesting tidbits.

Ok, Ok… It got a little weird… But only if you’re looking real hard; I think the press storm is almost over… right?

Wrong. Here comes the big bad Wall Street Journal with a story taking Hood and friends to school

Not as bad as it could be right? Surely that’s the end….

FBI? Did somebody say FBI? Everyone who read this out loud did:

‘Reports of New Scruggs Influence Payments Surface in FBI Notes’

Witnesses? Any witnesses? Yes, at least one:

Witness testifies Scruggs paid ‘bagman’ and ‘mystery man’ millions to influence Hood

Of course Scruggs tells us to forget what those silly FBI documents and witness say; Scruggs didn’t have an iota of influence. I guess the FBI didn’t do such a bang up job anyway.

At least one voter asks themselves, is it time for Hood to step down?

Now don’t forget, there are other things going on in Mississippi government. For instance, The State House passes a Hood inspired ‘Sunshine’ Bill addressing the issue at hand, state contracts.

Now Mr. Hood, what say you about Scruggs support? Oh, you weren’t ‘crazy about being attorney general anyway’

But look at the bright side Mr. Democrat Attorney General Hood… At least one other state is following Mississippi’s lead!

UPDATE:  The Wall Street Journal has come back for more!  Today they are saying AG Hood’s is looming larger in the case…
